PILI Receives Renewed Support from Several Foundations
PILI has recently received renewed funding from DuPage Bar Foundation, Illinois Access to Justice, Illinois Armed Forces Legal Aid Network, Illinois State Bar Association Young Lawyers Division, Jerome Mirza Foundation, Lawyers Trust Fund and Polk Bros. Call for Nominations for PILI Awards
Award nominations are now open for PILI’s Annual Awards and for Judicial Circuit Pro Bono Committee awards. Nominations are due by Friday, September 4th.

Illinois Supreme Court Approves MCLE Credit for Pro Bono Pilot Project through Illinois Free Legal Answers
The Illinois Supreme Court has established the MCLE for Pro Bono Pilot Project effective July 1, 2025 in an effort to help to address unmet legal needs in Illinois by allowing Illinois attorneys to earn MCLE credit by doing pro bono work through Illinois Free Legal Answers for which PILI is the state administrator.

On Wednesday, May 28th, PILI welcomed its 112 summer 2025 PILI Law Student Interns and Graduate Fellows with a daylong orientation including a Self-Represented Litigant Simulation and several educational sessions with the help members of PILI’s Alumni Network, public interest legal professionals and judges.
