PILI Receives New Grant from LTF
The Public Interest Law Initiative (PILI) is excited to announce additional funding for its Law Student Internship Program made possible by the Lawyers Trust Fund of Illinois. This funding is given in honor of former Illinois Supreme Court Justice Thomas Kilbride to fund four additional Interns during the summers of 2022 through 2026.

The Public Interest Law Initiative (PILI) is proud to announce Vanessa Weathersby as the newest Alumni Class Representative. She will serve as the Intern Representative for the 1986-1990 Class, succeeding Charles Wintersteen in the role.

On December 10th, during the Illinois Judges Association (IJA) Annual Awards & 50th Anniversary Celebration, PILI received the IJA’s Amicus Award.

What a Celebration! Wrapping Up Pro Bono Week 2021
During the week of October 24th to 30th, PILI participated in the national celebration of Pro Bono Week. Celebrated annually and organized nationally by the American Bar Association’s Standing Committee on Pro Bono and Public Service, Pro Bono Week is intended to inspire even greater pro bono participation by lawyers throughout the nation.
