PILI is grateful to the Jerome Mirza Foundation for providing a special $5,000 grant to cover the cost of the upcoming Judicial Circuit Pro Bono Committees Summit. This summit will be hosted in Springfield on May 13th to 14th to bring together the chairs of the eight pro bono committees and other partners to discuss how to increase and enhance pro bono across Illinois. PILI has hosted this invitation-only summit every three years since 2014.
Jerome Mirza, a 1963 graduate of the University of Illinois College of Law, was a leader in the field of trial advocacy and in the legal profession throughout his long career. The Mirza Foundation has provided funding for PILI’s Judicial Circuit Pro Bono Committee activities and a Named Internship since 2015.
We are so incredibly grateful to the Jerome Mirza Foundation for its continued support of our work, and for their generosity in helping make this important event a success.
