Justice Sheila O’Brien and Judge Wayne Andersen have generously funded one new spring 2018 PILI Intern at the Legal Aid Society. This newly funded Internship position is in addition to the one they fund in the summer at the National Immigrant Justice Center.
The Legal Aid Society was established in 1886 and works with its seven social service centers to bring a variety of legal services to Chicago’s most vulnerable citizens in the communities where they live.
PILI School-year Interns work 200 hours part-time during the semester with PILI ensuring quality supervision by experienced attorneys and providing extra educational, networking and advising opportunities. Typically, Interns are paid $3,000 for their work during the semester, less applicable taxes.
Thank you to Justice O’Brien and Judge Andersen for their extremely generous support!
