PILI is looking for Alumni and Board Members to participate in the Intern & Fellow Advising Program this summer. This program matches our summer Interns and Fellows with a member of PILI’s Board of Directors or Alumni Network to give them valuable insights into the Illinois legal community, practice areas, career strategies, or initial networking inroads.
Over $2,000 was raised towards the Alumni Named Internship Campaign so thank you to all those who participated, donated raffle items and bought raffle tickets. And a special thanks to PILI Alum Lisa Clay who was a partial sponsor of the basketball shoot out, and to the Alumni Network Leadership Council for hosting such a great event!
PILI is excited to announce that we now offer Graduate Fellowships at Lawndale Christian Legal Center. The new partnership between PILI and LCLC provides an exciting opportunity for Fellows to work with children and teens in need.
We’re hosting an event for Alumni and friends of PILI! Order ON the Court will be Thursday, March 26th from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Come visit with other Alumni, watch the game, enjoy great food and win awesome prizes! Tickets are only $25 and include food and two drink tickets for craft beer, wine, martinis, or mixed drinks.
“It felt like I was a part of justice in action and it made me certain that practicing law was not only a privilege, but an honor, a wonderful avocation that could truly affect people’s lives.”
“Baker is proud to combine the considerable talents of the in-house legal department of United Airlines, the expert team at the Law Project of the Chicago Coalition for the a Homeless and our own committed lawyers. The result is a new resource for Chicago youth to help them move from instability to success with legal insight and answers.”
