Limited Scope Representation: A New Tool for Your Lawyer Toolkit

The Eighteenth Judicial Circuit Pro Bono Committee is joining the DuPage County Bar Association for this Pro Bono Week CLE. This session will provide the background on limited scope representation and the changes to the Rules of Professional Conduct that have been made to permit limited scope representation. Attendees will hear specific examples of how limited scope representation can be used in both their private and pro bono practice to ensure greater access to justice for all.

Learning Objectives:

  1. To familiarize the lawyer with the Rules of Professional Conduct relating to limited scope representation and how to ethically utilize this tool.
  2. To increase the lawyer’s understanding and awareness of the availability of limited scope representation as a possible vehicle for providing additional services to private and pro bono clients.

1.0 hour of MCLE Professional Responsibility credit is expected. Only DCBA members will qualify for CLE credit.

Lunch will be provided to those who register in advance.
