Join us for this one-hour CLE on cultural competency and learn valuable insights about your pro bono or legal aid client. This presentation will help attendees understand how their clients’ lived experiences may impact their case. Reflecting on how poverty impacts your clients’ day to day will help your representation go more smoothly and successfully for you and your client! This is the third part of our mini-series, PILI Pro Bono Basics.
Attendees are expected to receive 1 hour of PR MCLE credit subject to approval. Advance registration is required using the form below.
These Virtual Pro Bono CLE Series programs are free, but advance registration is required, and we ask that you do at least one of the following over the next 12 months:
- Answer two Illinois Free Legal Answers questions for every hour of CLE Credit;
- Sign up for one shift at a Self-Represented Litigant Help Desk (Third, Sixth & Tenth Circuits)
- Take one pro bono case through PILI with the Illinois Armed Forces Legal Aid Network or Conflict of Interest Referral Panel;
- Take one pro bono case through Land of Lincoln, Prairie State or other local legal aid organization.
