Intern Alumni Spotlight: 
Militza Pagán, 2014 Intern

Militza Pagan is the new 2014 Intern Representative to PILI's Board of Directors. During her PILI Internship at BPI last summer, Militza worked primarily in their Public Housing and Political Reform departments. "I enjoyed the type of work that I did and the opportunities to learn about ways that lawyers can play a role in developing anti-poverty policies," she said. Read more »

Kyle Shires, 2014 Fellow

Kyle is the new 2014 Fellow Representative to PILI's Board of Directors.

"The PILI Fellowship was an amazing learning experience for me," he states. "I wanted to help ensure that future Fellows had an experience similar to mine. I couldn't think of a better way to stay involved than service as the Fellow Representative." Read more »

PILI's Pro Bono Committees in the Third, Fifth, Sixth, Tenth and Fourteenth Judicial Circuits of Illinois celebrated National Pro Bono Week, October 19-25, 2014, with special events across the state. Read more » 

New! PILI Board Member Spotlight: 
Dick O'Malley, Sidley Austin LLP

Dick is the newly-elected President of PILI's Board of Directors. "I've seen the summer Interns grow into committed pro bono lawyers throughout their career. I've seen our own Graduate Fellows at Sidley become involved in pro bono. And I've seen the investment that I make in PILI come back multiple times in helping Illinois' neediest with their legal services," he says. Read more »
