Illinois Pro Bono Research Alliance - Student Sign-up
The Illinois Pro Bono Research Alliance provides an opportunity for law students and attorneys to collaborate while providing legal assistance to someone in need.
If you are a lawyer interested in being matched with a law student for research assistance on a pro bono project, click here.
This program matches interested 2Ls, 3Ls, 4Ls, and LLM law students with pro bono attorneys who need assistance on a research assignment, from those taking only a few hours, to larger projects. Law students will work directly with the pro bono attorney. Our hope is that the program will be a useful resource that encourages more attorneys to engage in pro bono work, while simultaneously providing law students with valuable experience, hours that can be counted towards a pro bono hour requirement, and an opportunity to build their professional network.
I AM A LAW STUDENT, HOW DO I VOLUNTEER?
In order to receive notifications of potential research assignments, please sign up below. Projects are assigned to students on a first-come, first-serve basis when students reply to emails. You may decide to stop receiving notifications at any time.
Please note, student participation is limited to those at schools in the drop down menu. At this time, we are limiting participation to 5 students per schools.
