The Public Interest Law Initiative (PILI) has elected Mark P. Rotatori, a partner at Jones Day, to serve on its Board of Directors. Mark focuses on Business & Tort Litigation, Tax Audits & Controversies, State & Local Taxation, Product Liability Litigation and Federal & State False Claims Defense. He is also the Chicago Office’s Pro Bono Partner and is a leader in the legal community, where he serves as a board member for Equip for Equality and as a member of the local tax steering committee for Taxpayers’ Federation of Illinois.
“I am grateful for the opportunity to serve such a wonderful organization,” said Mark. “PILI’s mission of expanding access to legal services for people in need is a passion of mine as well. Our society has created a legal system to address and resolve issues affecting people, but has not made the necessary resources available to them. As a director on PILI board, I hope to be able to make a difference in the lives of those in need by making access to legal services a priority.”
Mark is replacing Lee Ann Russo, who recently retired from Jones Day and was named a PILI Life Director. Lee Ann joined the board in 2006 and served as Board President from 2012 to 2014.
PILI is grateful to Mark and Lee Ann for their service. The Board of Directors is currently led by President Sarah Bernstein of Barack Ferrazzano Kirschbaum & Nagelberg LLP.
