About Summer Internships
Interns work 400 hours full-time during the summer with PILI ensuring quality supervision by experienced attorneys and providing extra educational, networking and advising opportunities. PILI Law Student Interns are paid $6,200 for their work during the summer, less applicable taxes.
PILI summer Internships are open to law students from any ABA accredited law school in the United States. There are 28 public interest law agencies approved to host PILI Interns, and you can apply to up to 10 of them.
PILI Interns work on a wide and diverse range of issues depending on the agency where they serve and the issues that agency addresses. In addition to direct client services, PILI Interns also do policy development and analysis, advocacy, impact litigation, and more. PILI ensures quality supervision by experienced attorneys and provides extra educational, networking and advising opportunities.

Application period and process:
- The application period will open for law students at 10:00 a.m. on November 1st for 2Ls and November 15 for 1Ls.
