Apply for a Spring Semester PILI Internship

PILI Interns work 200 hours part-time during the semester with PILI ensuring quality supervision by experienced attorneys and providing extra educational, networking and advising opportunities. Interns are paid $3,250 for their work during the semester, less applicable taxes. PILI school-year Internships are open to any second and third-year law students who are attending an ABA accredited school.

There are 13 Internships available at 12 agencies in Chicago this Spring, and applicants may apply to as many as they would like. The application system opens on October 15th at 10:00 a.m. CT for spring semester PILI Internships. Learn more about agencies and placements for spring Internships »

To apply for a Spring PILI Internship, follow these steps:

  • Prepare your resume and cover letter(s), with a separate cover letter for each agency to which you wish to apply.
  • Save each document separately as pdf files. Be sure your name is in the file name for each document.
  • Complete the form below. You will need to submit a separate application for each agency. Tip: if you enable autofill on your browser, the form should populate automatically after your first application.
  • You will receive a confirmation e-mail each time you successfully submit an application to an agency. Keep track of these confirmation e-mails so you know which agencies you have applied to.

Once an agency has completed its hiring, it will be removed from this list and you will no longer be able to apply to that agency.

Please note: All application submissions are final, and will be sent immediately to the agency to which you are applying. You cannot make changes to your application after it has been submitted. Agencies make their own hiring decisions, and they will get in touch with you directly if they wish to pursue your application further.
