Alumni Network Leadership Council Giving Day Toolkit

We are so excited for PILI’s first-ever Giving Day and with your help, we know this will be a great opportunity for PILI to increase its visibility while also raising funds to support our work.

As members of our Alumni Network Leadership Council, we know you believe in justice and opportunity. At PILI, we turn those values into action across Illinois—helping people access the legal support they need to overcome serious challenges and move forward with hope.

While our Young Professionals Board is taking the lead on this campaign, the Alumni Council expressed an interest in holding an "Alumni Challenge" to encourage PILI Alum to also make a donation during the campaign. In the event you wish to assist spreading word of the Giving Day campaign and the related Alumni Challenge with your network, we have put this toolkit together to help in those efforts. At the end of the campaign, we will announce the PILI alumni class (the year you did your Internship or Fellowship) that had the most donations.

Fundraising Page

The link to the fundraising page is https://onecau.se/_bcr6f1. You can either (1) share this link as it, or (2) from this page you can create your own fundraising page. Creating your own fundraising page will allow you to set a goal specific to your fundraising page but as part of the overall campaign. You will also be able to add a personal message.

Sample Email

You can use this email to reach out to your network to invite them to join you in supporting PILI for Giving Day. At a minimum, you will need to insert the link to PILI's Giving Day page, the fundraising page, or the link to your own fundraising page that you will create through our fundraising page.

Download Graphics

Here are a variety of graphics you can opt to use to promote Giving Day. Many of these will also be used by PILI on our Social Media channels, which you could also just share. When you click on the link, it will open in another window. Right clicking on the image should give you the ability to either copy the image or save it. The files that have "Square" in the name are for Facebook, Twitter/X and LinkedIn. The files that have "IG" in the name are for Instagram. If you have trouble downloading the graphics, please email Alex Schumacher and he can send them to you.

YPB "I Stand for Justice" Graphics

If you took a photo or sent in one to us, we will place a graphic here with your name in the file for you to use to promote Giving Day. Write your own caption to go with your graphic. You might start with "I stand for justice because..." and then mention supporting PILI on Giving Day (or before) or "Join me as I stand for justice with PILI because..." and be sure to include a link to the PILI website Giving Day page, the PILI Giving Day fundraising page, or your own fundraising page.
