Civil Rights, Civil Liberties, & the Rule of Law

Over the last year and a half many of the structures safeguarding civil rights and civil liberties have changed dramatically. This program will examine the current landscape of civil rights issues, emerging concerns, and how the public interest law community is advocating for justice and defending the rights that form the foundation of a free and fair society.

Speakers:

  • Kate Walz, Director of Complex Litigation and Advocacy, Chicago Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights
  • Javier Silva, Staff Attorney, Mexican American Legal Defense and Education Fund
