Join PILI for Law Day 2026! To celebrate Law Day, we are holding a free CLE and training on Illinois Free Legal Answers, followed by a virtual workshop to answer civil legal questions from people in need on Illinois Free Legal Answers. This workshop is being held in partnership with PILI, the ISBA Young Lawyers Division and Standing Committee on the Delivery of Legal Services, the Illinois Bar Foundation, the Illinois Judges Association, and the American Bar Association.
Illinois Free Legal Answers is a secure website where low-income Illinoisans can ask a lawyer for help with a civil legal issue. Volunteer lawyers then log onto the site at their convenience and answer questions waiting in the queue. It is a virtual walk-in legal clinic. A project of the American Bar Association, Free Legal Answers was created to increase access to advice and information about non-criminal legal matters for those who cannot afford legal assistance.
Virtual Workshop: Friday, May 1st 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm
- During the first 30 minutes, you will learn about Illinois Free Legal Answers and how to help through the site. PILI has applied for 0.5 hours of Professional Responsibility MCLE credit for this portion of the event.
- For the next hour, there will be a Drop-in Workshop where you can get help answering questions on the platform.
- There will be a virtual “ISBA Break Room” so you can also meet up and network with other members.

Not an ISBA member? No problem! All are welcome to join us for the workshop.
