PILI Illinois Forum on Pro Bono: Strengthening Pro Bono Partnerships

REGISTER NOW!

Held annually in the fall, PILI’s Illinois Forum on Pro Bono brings together a cross-section of pro bono stakeholders from corporations, law firms, law schools and public interest law agencies to discuss ideas and strategies to expand and enhance pro bono in Illinois. This complimentary program will be held in person and 1.75 hours of Professional Responsibility MCLE credit is anticipated. The program will be held from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. with a networking reception for attendees immediately following. Advance registration is required.

The theme of this year’s Forum is Strengthening Pro Bono Partnerships.

Participants will engage in facilitated in-depth small group discussions on the different characteristics of each stakeholder and what corporations, law firms, law schools and public interest law agencies can offer to each other to strengthen partnerships to expand and enhance pro bono in Illinois. Participants will also discuss obstacles faced in their pro bono programs. Based on those discussions, pro bono leaders from a cross section of the legal profession will discuss ways to strengthen and reinforce pro bono partnerships given all the changes of the last few years.

Please contact Senior Managing Attorney Jessica Schneider at 312-832-5125 or by email if you have any questions or would like any additional information.

PILI’s Forums and Roundtables

Each year, PILI holds several Pro Bono Forums and Roundtables to bring together pro bono leaders from law firms, corporations, legal service agencies and law schools. Attendees discuss timely pro bono issues, challenges and best practices and develop strategies to expand and enhance pro bono in Illinois. The Pro Bono Roundtables allow for unique constituent group-specific conversations, while the Forums are for everyone and give attendees an opportunity for in-depth discussion among a cross-section of the legal profession.
