The Fifth Judicial Circuit Pro Bono Committee will be celebrating Law Day on May 1st by doing outreach in middle schools and high schools. They will be encouraging students to develop their own informed opinions about current events, law, and justice.
The Committee will help attorneys connect with a social studies or history class in their area in Clark, Coles, Cumberland, Edgar or Vermillion Counties. Volunteers will receive easy-to-use materials and be able to choose from several different civics activities to do with students.
Attorneys can volunteer alone or in groups. No prior training and only limited advance preparation is needed.
If you have any questions or would like to volunteer, please contact Angelica Wawrzynek of the Fifth Judicial Circuit Pro Bono Committee by email or by phone at 217-639-7800.
