Virtual Pro Bono CLE Series: Preparing Your Client for Mediation

In most contested cases involving children, parties are required to participate in mediation, and some courts also require or offer mediation in other types of cases. Attorneys play an important role in helping clients understand what to expect and approach the process prepared to participate effectively.

This CLE will provide practical guidance for preparing clients for mediation. Attendees will learn strategies to help clients make the most of their mediation sessions, engage productively in negotiations, and better understand the process and potential outcomes. Thoughtful preparation can increase the likelihood of reaching an agreement—or, when an agreement is not possible, ensure clients leave with a clearer understanding of the issues and next steps.

Attendees are expected to receive 1 hour of general Illinois MCLE credit, pending approval. Advance registration is required using the form below.
