14th Circuit Criminal Records Relief Clinic – Volunteer Sign Up

Are you in need of free legal help to expunge or seal your criminal record? Clients can register here »

PILI’s Fourteenth Judicial Circuit Pro Bono Committee, Prairie State Legal Services and Rock Island County NAACP will be holding an Expungement Clinic that will provide free legal assistance to individuals living in Henry, Mercer, Rock Island and Whiteside Counties seeking to clear their criminal records. Volunteers will consult with participants on available options for relief, prepare petitions to expunge and/or seal eligible records, and provide guidance on navigating the process from start to finish. Both attorneys and other legal professionals are needed. The Criminal Records Relief Clinic will take place in person on March 5th from 1:30 to 4:00 PM at the Moline Public Library.

Volunteers are required to attend a training session in order to volunteer, unless they handle expungement matters on a regular basis in their practice or have attended a similar training session recently. The training session will be prior to the clinic on March 5th at from 12:00 to 1:30 PM. Lunch will be provided. Attendees will receive 1.5 hours of MCLE credit. Even if you have experience, procedures for the day of the Clinic will be covered so we ask you to attend.

If you would like to attend the training and provide assistance through this clinic, please fill out the form below. If you have questions about the clinic or training session, please contact PILI Senior Managing Attorney Jessica Schneider by email or by phone at 312-832-5125.
