On Wednesday, May 28th, PILI welcomed its 112 summer 2025 PILI Law Student Interns and Graduate Fellows with a daylong orientation including a Self-Represented Litigant Simulation and several educational sessions with the help members of PILI’s Alumni Network, public interest legal professionals and judges.

PILI Announces its Summer 2025 Honorary, Memorial & Named Interns
In the summer of 2025, 21 Law Student Interns will hold Honorary, Memorial or Named Internship positions, which are created and funded by individuals and groups dedicated to promoting public interest law service and supporting PILI’s Law Student Internship Program.

PILI’s Judicial Circuit Pro Bono Committees strive to increase equal access to justice by promoting and enhancing pro bono legal services within a specific judicial circuit. Each Committee consists of members of the judiciary as well as pro bono leaders from local law firms, corporations, bar associations, and public interest law organizations.

Representative of a cross-section of the Illinois legal community, PILI’s Board of Directors is the governing body responsible for the overall management of the organization. Members of the board come from law firms, corporations and law schools as well as representatives from our Participating Agencies (at which we place PILI Law Student Interns and Fellows) and foundations that support PILI.
