On June 21, PILI held the Annual Pro Bono Reception which celebrates the inspiring and life-changing pro bono work being done in Illinois.
We are excited to announce that the first stop on the Annual Pro Bono Reception’s Virtual Pro Bono Tour will be Springfield to visit Lieutenant Governor Juliana Stratton! Lieutenant Governor Stratton is a PILI Alum, having done a PILI Internship at Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights. She also leads the Justice, Equity and Opportunity Initiative, including overseeing the Restore, Reinvest, and Renew (R3) program, of which PILI is a grantee. We are excited to have her join us for this event!
Even in these challenging times, there is much to celebrate in terms of the life-changing pro bono work being performed across Illinois.
This year, 45 law firms and corporations were named to the Recognition Roster.
“From every stage of her career, Judge Wilson has focused on equal access to justice,” said Michael Bergmann, PILI’s Executive Director.
PILI’s Annual Pro Bono Reception is coming on Wednesday, June 20th. Over 30 law firms and corporations typically sponsor this event, raising money for the important work of PILI’s Pro Bono Initiative.
We are so grateful to our event sponsors, attendees and donors who made the 2018 Annual Pro Bono Reception such a success!
