Board Member Spotlight: Daniel Lange

D_Lange Head Shot

Daniel Lange joined PILI’s Board of Directors in 2009 and currently serves as the Board Treasurer. As such, Daniel oversees PILI’s budget and finances and helps with strategic planning.

Daniel appreciates the facilitator mission that PILI fulfills. “They bridge the gap of all levels of the legal profession between the broader community on the one hand and the pro bono/public interest community on the other hand,” he said.

As a shareholder at Vedder Price, Daniel is a member of the firm’s Executive Compensation & Employee Benefits practice group. In addition to volunteering his time with PILI, Daniel has volunteered at CGLA’s expungement help desks where he provides advice to individuals seeking to clear their criminal records through expungement, sealing or executive clemency. He also provides pro bono legal assistance for Camp Ramah, a Jewish summer camp in Wisconsin.

When he’s not working, Daniel likes playing board games including his favorite like Settlers of Catan and Codenames. He also likes to travel and escapes the Chicago cold with trips to Palm Springs with his family.

Through his role at PILI, Daniel likes contributing to the increase of pro bono services in the community. “Many clients throughout Illinois might not receive legal services if not for PILI’s facilitation efforts.”

PILI is grateful to have Daniel as part of our Board of Directors!
