State Farm’s business is built on the idea of helping people and pro bono work is a key part of the State Farm Law Department’s commitment to helping their communities. State Farm partners with Prairie State Legal Services, PILI and the McLean County Bar Association to expand the availability of legal services for people, families and communities in need by organizing and volunteering at bi-annual Legal Advice Fairs. Additionally, State Farm works with Prairie State on Saturday Volunteer Lawyer Program Expungement Clinics and also partners with the Immigration Project, ILAO, and the Veterans Consortium. In 2018, the Law Department Pro Bono Committee reviewed and approved over 200 pro bono requests resulting in over 750 hours of pro bono service being provided to their local communities.
“State Farm has a long history of supporting equal justice and of accepting pro bono cases. State Farm Law Department staff are providing life changing services to low-income clients and improving the community.
– Adrian Barr, Prairie State Legal Services
