Each year, PILI hosts a full-day orientation for PILI Interns and Fellows to kick-off the summer. This program serves as an introduction to the Illinois legal aid community and some of the struggles your clients face as well as the impact you can have. We also focus on developing practical skills that will be useful this summer and throughout your career.
PILI Law Student Interns and Graduate Fellows will get to tour the Richard J. Daley Center, where many of them will go to civil court over the summer. This tour will also include the Cook County Law Library and offices of the Clerk of the Circuit Court. Please note, space is limited. Please check your schedule and register only if you are committed to attend.
The PILI Alumni Network Leadership Council invites you to volunteer with PILI Alums as well as the 2019 class of Interns and Fellows at Lawson House, serving meals to low-income or formerly homeless men and women.
Each year, the PILI Alumni Network Leadership Council plans and hosts an Alumni Reunion Reception to bring together former PILI Interns and Fellows to maintain their connection with one another and PILI.
