The Vermilion County Summit is an opportunity for individuals to receive free legal consultations on their options for criminal records relief. Volunteer attorneys will prepare petitions to expunge and/or seal records for eligible participants to file in the appropriate circuit court.
Law firm leadership can play an important role in providing those in poverty with legal assistance by supporting and encouraging a culture of pro bono within law firms. Join members of the judiciary, law firm leaders, and other pro bono stakeholders for a lunch and panel discussion hosted by the Tenth Judicial Circuit Pro Bono Committee on the need for free legal assistance for individuals and families living in poverty in the Tenth Judicial Circuit.
The Eighteenth Judicial Circuit Pro Bono Committee will showcase available pro bono opportunities and present the Eighteenth Judicial Circuit Pro Bono Service Award. Attendees will also be able to answer questions on the Free Legal Answers website while enjoying a pancake breakfast.
The Tenth Judicial Circuit Pro Bono Committee hosts this event to commemorate Pro Bono Week and recognize the efforts of Pro Bono Pledge Signatories and Pro Bono Service Award Recipients to expand and enhance access to justice in the Tenth Judicial Circuit.
