On August 9th, the Fifth Judicial Circuit Pro Bono Committee co-sponsored a Free Legal Answers volunteer program at Tapella & Eberspacher in Charleston.
PILI’s Twentieth Judicial Circuit Pro Bono Committee will hold its first meeting on June 26th.
During this half-day event co-sponsored by PILI’s Eleventh Judicial Circuit Pro Bono Committee, 22 volunteers served 47 clients. This is the largest number of clients served at the Legal Advice Fair to date.
Attorneys and gathered at Deere & Company in the morning and at Quad City Bank & Trust in the afternoon to answer legal questions on Illinois Legal Aid Online’s Legal Answers website.
As part of a community outreach effort, attorneys of the Fifth Judicial Circuit Pro Bono Committee are volunteering at local schools to celebrate Law Day.
This helps fund the Pro Bono Initiative Program, including the work of our Judicial Circuit Pro Bono Committees.

Twenty-one attorneys attended this complimentary program to learn more about these family law issues. They were all encouraged to take on one additional pro bono matter in the coming year.
On October 3, 2017, PILI held its Illinois Forum on Pro Bono at The Chicago Bar Association with over 70 people in attendance. PILI’s Fifth and Sixth Judicial Pro Bono Committees and Land of Lincoln Legal Assistance Foundation provided a complimentary CLEs on “Hot Topics in Family Law” in June and July.
