This is a guest post from Michael Bergmann, PILI’s Executive Director, who reflects back on PILI’s 40 years of service in the legal community.
“Pro bono at McDermott represents to me a wide array of opportunities for incredible personal and professional growth and satisfaction. I have been extremely gratified and nourished by McDermott’s exemplary commitment to pro bono.”
“Through his pro bono work, Brij demonstrates the highest ideals of our profession – service, fairness and justice. As a Jenner & Block lawyer, he epitomizes our core values of commitment to pro bono work and community service. We are privileged to call him our colleague.”
“Susan embodies what PILI preaches: A lifelong commitment to public service.”
“Bernie’s accomplishments and leadership are remarkable. He is the soul of our organization and a role model for not only our staff, but for all legal aid staff.”
We raised over $365,000, including just over $40,000 at the event itself, to support our programs and kick off the next 40 years of service.
