Public Interest Law Initiative

Apply for PILI Internships and Fellowships

Public Interest Law Initiative (PILI) | Pro Bono Reception

Application links will appear on this page when the application system is open.

Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until all agencies have completed their hiring. Please note that each agency supervisor handles hiring differently: some make hiring decisions early in the application period, while others wait until later. You are encouraged to apply early to ensure the fullest consideration of your application. Once an agency has completed its hiring, it will be removed from the application system and you will no longer be able to apply to that agency.

PILI also provides supplemental programmatic, networking and educational opportunities.

Graduate Fellowships

edited-w-fellows

PILI’s Graduate Fellowship Program places new associates from Chicago law firms at public interest law agencies, where they work 300 hours during the summer or fall before starting at their firms. This is a unique opportunity to gain lawyering skills, build your professional networks, and do something meaningful while studying for the bar.

The application system for 2018 will open at 10:00 a.m. on October 15, 2017.
